Dear Inglewood Unified School District Family,

 

I hope you are all doing well and remaining healthy and safe during these challenging times. This week, April 6 through April 10, marks Inglewood Unified School District’s (IUSD) Spring Break. Although classes are not in session this week, we will be continuing food and laptop distribution.

 

IUSD is providing meals Monday through Thursday this week, unless otherwise noted, at the seven designated locations throughout IUSD. Details of the locations and times for food distribution can be found on the IUSD website at www.inglewoodusd.com. Please note that there will be NO food distribution on Friday, April 10, 2020.

 

We are also very excited to announce that in collaboration with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the Inglewood Unified School District will provide "Shelf-Stable Food,” such as canned foods, to families in the community. Food will be provided in a box that can weigh up to 12-18 pounds. The LA Regional Food Bank will begin distribution this Wednesday, April 8, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Hudnall Elementary School. Supplies are limited to 260 boxes and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. 

 

Social Justice Learning Institute and Food Forward will continue to provide 200 bags of fresh fruits and vegetables for families to pick up at Hudnall Elementary School. The next Food Forward distribution of fresh produce will be this Thursday, April 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Hudnall Elementary School.

 

We will be continuing the distribution of laptops to students who currently do not have access to computers at home. The following schools will have distributions this week: Woodworth-Monroe TK-8 Academy, Bennett-Kew Elementary School, City Honors International Preparatory High School, Inglewood High School, Morningside High School, and Frank D. Parent School. Principals have or will be providing details to families regarding laptop distribution times and locations. Please contact your school’s principal with any questions. Attached is a list of the laptop distribution sites.

Estimada familia del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Inglewood, 

 

Espero que todos estén bien y se estén manteniendo saludable y seguros durante estos tiempos difíciles. Esta semana, del 6 al 10 de abril, son las vacaciones de primavera del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Inglewood (IUSD). Aunque las clases no están en sesión esta semana, continuaremos distribuyendo alimentos y computadoras portátiles. 

 

IUSD está proporcionando comidas de lunes a jueves esta semana, a menos que se indique lo contrario, en los siete sitios designados en el distrito. Los detalles de los lugares y horarios de distribución de alimentos se pueden encontrar en el sitio web del distrito en www.inglewoodusd.com. Tenga en cuenta que NO habrá distribución de alimentos el viernes, 10 de abril del 2020.

 

También nos complace anunciar que en colaboración con el Banco de Alimentos Regional de Los Ángeles, el Distrito proporcionará alimentos de despensa, como alimentos enlatados, para familias en la comunidad. Los alimentos se proveyeran en una caja que puede pesar de 12 hasta 18 libras. El Banco de Alimentos Regional de Los Ángeles comenzará distribuciones este miércoles, 8 de abril del 2020, de 9:30 a.m. a 11:30 a.m., en Hudnall Elementary School. La despensa está limitada a 260 cajas y será distribuida por orden de llegada. 

 

Social Justice Learning Institute y Food Forward continuaran a proveer 200 bolsas de fruta y vegetales frescos para que nuestras familias las recojan en Hudnall Elementary School. La próxima distribución de Food Forward será este jueves, 9 de abril, desde las 9:30 a.m. hasta las 11:30 a.m.

 

Continuaremos la distribución de computadoras portátiles a los estudiantes que actualmente no tienen acceso a la tecnología en el hogar. Las siguientes escuelas tendrán distribuciones esta semana: Woodworth-Monroe TK-8 Academy, Bennett-Kew Elementary School, City Honors International Preparatory High School, Inglewood High School, Morningside High School, and Frank D. Parent School. Los directores han proveído o proveerán detalles a familias con respeto a los horarios y ubicaciones de distribución de tecnología.
